Barnabast kétszáz évvel később véletlenül kiszabadítják a sírjából, és nem nyugodhat békében: visszatér a régi házába, ahol kénytelen megismerkedni zavaros XX. századi utódaival. Jobb híján beköltözik a családi rezidenciába, megpróbálja elviselni az anyukát, a velük lakó pszichológust, a lázadó kamaszlányt - akiknek mind megvan a maga sötét titka és őrült terve az új rokonnal: a kísértetiesen vén ősapával.

As much as it tries to make this a love story, we don't feel its heart pulsating. Barnabus is a vampire who wants his life back, but neither he nor the film truly succeeds.
